Our first snow of 2009!

Just recently we had our first snow here! It only lasted about 3 days BUT, we did have some good times in it. Butters (our kitten) had never seen the snow before so we figured we'd show him what he's been missing! Surprisingly enough, he actually kind of liked it:) I'm pretty sure we treat him more like our child than a cat but hey, he just has a good life!

Ty was pretty excited to take him out:)

I used to swear to myself that I would never become one of 'those people' who treat their pet like their kid but...

I'm pretty sure it didn't work. Ah!

Oh well, we like it. Right now, he's all the baby we need!

It's almost Christmas! AND, it's our first Married Christmas, awwwwwe! Christmas Eve we're going to my family's house...Christmas Day at Ty's. I'm super excited. Planning worked out so well that we didn't even have to divide our day between the two. As I get older I start to like Christmas more too, less presents and MORE love and joy and hope and happiness! Everyone that I talk to is just Happy. When you work at a doctors office there tends to be a shortage of happy people. Lots of sickies, people with injuries, having to wait 2 hours to see the doctor, paying big bills; it's just not fun. So, of course at the front desk we get the brunt of everything. We're the gate keepers. Around Christmas time, it's COMPLETELY different and I like it! It makes me want Christmas all year 'round! But, I spose that if it were always Christmas, the joy would ware off and things would turn sour again. So, for now, I'm soaking it all in and lovin every day!

Ty and I have decided that this year instead of buying gifts for every one, we're going to get lost in a baking frenzy and bake our love into goodies! I am SO excited. I'm loving this home life/being a wife thing. Tonight, after the rushes go home and die down at Walmart, we're heading in to get all our supplies! Chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies with sprinkles, chocolate dipped marshmallows, peanut butter cookies and no bakes. YUMMM!!! Have I ever told you that I have a MAJOR sweet tooth? Well, I do. :D What makes baking even better is that we got a TON of Pampered Cheff stuff for our wedding! I absolutely LOVE pampered cheff. Expensive, yes...but Great! The tippy measuring cups are amazing. I think my all time favorite is our Chef's knife...if cuts through frozen chicken like it's butter. Amazing. Anyways, highlight of my weekend...baking! Maybe that means I need to get out more BUT, meh! It's the little things in life that really count, right? Yes!

Okie doke, time to wake my sleeping husband and drag him off to grandma and grandpa Lehfeldt's house to say goodbye to visiting family! Stop at Safeway, then tally ho to Walmart! Woo!

P.S. Merry Christmas!!!

Hehe... :D

Today has been full of change...not necessarily changes for me, but all around me. For starters, one of the boys I grew up with informed me that he was joining the Air Force. He's basically my second brother, I want him to be safe and ALIVE for as long as he should be. This is a huge LIFE change, more than just a hair cut or a new apartment. Big. All you can do is pray and Trust that God has a plan for everyone and everything.

Second, Jordan got a puppy! It's a black lab...Kimbo Slice. LOL. Kimbo. He's quite the cute little peanut of a puppy. This puppy is more than just a furr ball filled with fluff...he's given my dad a new reason to live. Life has it's low points, my dad seems to have found his, but this puppy has brought something new out in him. He's laughing and smiling and playing again. He has JOY. There's a reason for him to be home, to go outside, to be active. It was just REALLY good to see him like that. I love my dad:) It was hard to see him so low...funny how something so SMALL can change something so BIG in someone. I'm extremely grateful.

My grandpa has found himself in the hospital again...in all my years (all 24:P ), I have never experienced losing anyone from my family. I don't feel like this is it for my grandpa at all BUT the thought does cross my mind. It's crazy and scary and calming all at the same time. He's used to be a pastor so I know he's in good with the Big Guy:P Anyways, I just really hope he gets better soon:)

AND! Great news! Tyler got a call from the Lynden Police Department today (no, he's not a criminal!). Every year for Christmas they have all 12 of the squad cars detailed. They happened to fall onto Ty's website and called him up! They want a quote for all 12 cars...THAT WOULD BE SO AMAZING!!! The more we detail the more debt we can pay off...the closer we can get to buying a house and having a home of our own. Well, I guess school comes first but still, one step closer!! Woo! So yes, he met the Officer Ross tonight and it went well! We'll hear more tomorrow probably, it's just so great:)

With everything changing it just reminds me how much we need to rely on God to lead the way. Sometimes with life I get so caught up in the every day hubub that I forget to stop and just let go. I dunno...it's just something that happens. Anyways, all the change in life changes my insides...it wraps me around God that much more and it's just really great:) Always and forever finding myself and where I'm at. Always learning and loving and watching. I like being me!

Newby Bloggers.

After much deliberation, I've decided to try my hand at this blogging thing. Right now, life is great so we might as well share it with our family and friends!
These days, our life is simple. We're enjoying what we have and dreaming of what we want to make out of this life. We're blessed to have such amazing friends and family. Steady jobs and a warm home help to keep our chins up in these 'hard times'. Tyler works during the day at Premier as a Pre-press Operator monday through friday. On the weekends he's a full fledged small business owner! In June of this year, he decided to follow his dreams and start his own Car Detailing Business. Pacific Auto Detailing. Together we worked all summer detailing our little bums off, half for fun and half to pay for our wedding in August! Luckily the weather was amazing all summer and we ended up having the perfect wedding:D
I am still at the doctors office awaiting my chance to go back to school! I'm thinking about nursing still, maybe not in a family practice office...I'm thinkin more in a specialty field. Maybe in the childbirth center or with the older generation. Two extreme opposites, both of which I adore!
So, other than work, we have Church and God, each other and Butters (our kitten). We're workin hard for each other and for the day when we can graduate from our "newlywed salary" :) Life is good. We're good. This is fun...we'll see how this whole blogging thing goes!
