It's almost Christmas! AND, it's our first Married Christmas,
awwwwwe! Christmas Eve we're going to my family's house...Christmas Day at Ty's. I'm super excited. Planning worked out so well that we didn't even have to divide our day between the two. As I get older I start to like Christmas more too, less presents and MORE love and joy and hope and happiness! Everyone that I talk to is just Happy. When you work at a doctors office there tends to be a shortage of happy people. Lots of sickies, people with injuries, having to wait 2 hours to see the doctor, paying big bills; it's just not fun. So, of course at the front desk we get the brunt of everything. We're the gate keepers. Around Christmas time, it's COMPLETELY different and I like it! It makes me want Christmas all year 'round! But, I spose that if it were always Christmas, the joy would ware off and things would turn sour again. So, for now, I'm soaking it all in and
lovin every day!
Ty and I have decided that this year instead of buying gifts for every one, we're going to get lost in a baking frenzy and bake our love into goodies! I am SO excited. I'm loving this home life/being a wife thing. Tonight, after the rushes go home and die down at Walmart, we're heading in to get all our supplies! Chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies with sprinkles, chocolate dipped marshmallows, peanut butter cookies and no bakes.
YUMMM!!! Have I ever told you that I have a MAJOR sweet tooth? Well, I do. :D What makes baking even better is that we got a TON of Pampered Cheff stuff for our wedding! I absolutely LOVE pampered cheff. Expensive, yes...but Great! The tippy measuring cups are amazing. I think my all time favorite is our Chef's knife...if cuts through frozen chicken like it's butter. Amazing. Anyways, highlight of my weekend...baking! Maybe that means I need to get out more BUT, meh! It's the little things in life that really count, right? Yes!
Okie doke, time to wake my sleeping husband and drag him off to grandma and grandpa Lehfeldt's house to say goodbye to visiting family! Stop at Safeway, then tally ho to Walmart! Woo!
P.S.
Merry Christmas!!!
Hehe... :D
